What is the Sophia?

Notes: Sophia is the first aspect of the “mother” reflection an awareness. Contemplation. Ability to pause and reflect. Wait. Sit in silence before taking action. In the body and when it is embodied it enables one to feel the contemplation.

To provide a framework for this response, let’s pause and think about Creation from a hypothetical point before anything was “created” and only pure non-form existed; complete and utter omni-sentience of being. (‘hypothetical’ is used here b/c of the way we ‘think’) Even ‘awareness’ of a Self did not exist. When the first emanations of Its will exerted an impulse like a gasp, then a semblance of an awareness “began”. When a second emanation of an impulse was released, then a reflection became possible b/c now there were 2. The union of the two could be called a Cosmic Mother & Father joining together; from our vantage point this is what many refer to as Prime Creator. Prime Creator continued to create iterations of Itself and the first you might call the Christ Consciousness which is both of the Cosmic Mother&Father. Prime Creator continued to create iterations of Itself. Sometimes the Father aspect was primary with the Mother aspect secondary and other iterations, the Mother aspect was primary. Early in this creation cycle which may be seen as worlds or universes being created, the consciousness of Prime Creator continued to expand & Self Awareness flourished since with each iteration, a reflection back to the Original Source was created. The Sophia is a consciousness awareness that enabled deeper reflections of Its creations possible. You call this wisdom at this time because there was a depth added to Creation from the Sophia aspect of Self. As you might sense from this description, there’s no judgments about masculine or feminine in this process but yet, each when seen in a very clean sense, is powerful and equally necessary. So to simplify it even more, the Sophia is more like a conscious self-awareness that was born early in creation enabling creation to pause, reflect, be still before taking action. Women like Magdalene are more like the physical embodiment of aspects of the Sophia Consciousness or a physical archetype but there is much more to the vastness of the Sophia as a consciousness.
